Oleg studied mathematics and informatics at Saint Petersburg State University, Russia. He found many research and practical challenges in the area of data conversion and XML-to-PDF publishing. Among his public work results are TeXML and CALS-tables for LaTeX. In search for a better tree-like data transformation language, he developed XSieve and succeeded with it in Google Summer of Code 2005. During the time of XML’s rise he grew a community of XML-developers and as a spin-off released a web tool. He loves creating software wealth but doesn’t forget about other sources of joy. These are his family and outdoor activities such as jogging or swimming.
